The Attorney General, Dr. Ali bin Fadhul Al Buainain, received, in his office, in the presence of Counselor Wael Rashid Bualai, the Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Mohammad Khalid Al Hazaa, the acting attorney general and head of the Special Investigation Unit. Where he presented the annual report of the Special Investigation Unit, which included the unit’s work statistics for the past year, which included all judicial, training, and organizational work during the year 2021.
The Attorney General valued the efforts made by the head and members of the Special Investigation Unit to protect human rights in the criminal justice system, and to confront strongly and firmly all legal and human rights abuses, in partnership with all relevant national institutions and mechanisms, stressing that respect for human rights is the main pillar for protecting homeland security and achieving sustainable developmentin the country in all its aspects.
