Mohamed Khaled Al Hazzaa, Acting Advocate General and Head of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), received Ms. Emily Bilson, Foreign Affairs Officer at the US Department of State’s Office of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, at SIU’s headquarters.
During the meeting, they discussed SIU’s competencies within the criminal justice system, its operational mechanisms, and the results of its efforts, which have significantly reduced complaints of human rights violations and inhumane treatment. The two sides also explored cooperation further to enhance the protection and respect for human rights.
